Species of the Day – Pallas’s Fish-eagle (Haliaeetus leucoryphus)

Pallas’s Fish Eagle is a large sea eagle found in central and south Asia, it is mostly found near wetlands like large lakes and rivers.It generally nests in trees near water and hunts fish and waterfowls.
The conservation status of Pallas’s Fish Eagle is Vulnerable, because it has a small, declining population as a result of the widespread loss, degradation and disturbance of wetlands and breeding sites throughout its range.
